I write this from the very heart of the rehearsal process exactly one week before auditions on 8th December.

James Hale is taking the Company through the audition pieces as I write.

Watch this space for updates and results from late on the 8th onwards!

It’s not only the costumes in shows that are carefully made to measure! When Props Master Vic Gossage came up with this all wooden replica rifle for “Annie Get Your Gun” Diana needed some individual measurement to make sure that her gun, when it arrives, fits perfectly for the role.

Dancers and set builders descended on the school hall on Saturday … I am sure a few more helpers on the set side would be much appreciated …

Patrons evening 12/07

July 13th, 2008

Thanks to everyone at KAOS for the effort they went to for the event last night. Mike did a great job and was as entertaining as ever. In fact all the entertainment went down well as did the ploughman’s and the lager !!

I hope it was a successsful night for the society both financially and in terms of drumming up extra support.

Thanks

Steve Edgar

Read Through !

May 9th, 2008

img_0084.jpgA large group of members gathered on 8th May to read through the script. After a break the ice session organised by Trisha, was I a Pear? we settled down and over the course of a couple of hours read and sang through the entire script taking it in turns to be the various characters. Much hilarity ensued as Chief Sitting Bull’s accent moved mysteriously between characters on occasions! A really worthwhile evening. Auditions were also announced as Monday 2nd June at QMC of course.

The longest day!

April 12th, 2008

Saturday of show week is always about endurance! Arriving by 1 pm, performing the matinee and then turning around again for the evening show. And in everyones mind the thought of the derig and the midnight pizzas!

First Night!

April 10th, 2008

A great first night I think we can all agree. Nothing went wrong, everyone remembered everything, the band were great, as they always are! all the technical bits worked spectacularly well and an appreciative audience enjoyed their evening. Always nice to meet afterwards in the bar and hear the comments from our guests. We clearly are doing something right!
